Audio interview: Brutai

A melodic and progressive juggernaut from the beating heart of London, Brutai is a five-piece riding a tidal wave of momentum. 2016 saw the young group play the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Bloodstock Festival, sign to a record deal with Transcend Music, release three music videos and, finally and at long last, fill store shelves with their debut album, Born.

And even though it’s only been going for a month, 2017 is shaping up to be equally anarchic for the up-and-comers, who have just finished their first full-length, nationwide tour, supporting metalcore stars Devil You Know on their “Third Time’s a Charm” trek.

On the last date of the 14-day tour, frontman Felix Lawrie, bassist Christian Sturgess and keyboardist Alex Lorimer sit down with Far Beyond Written’s Matt Mills to talk about their album, their plans for the rest of the year, their famous family connections and more.
